~*~Bio~*~

At 13 years old Matt is relatively new to this business. In the past two years he has come from a brief part on "Early Edition", to a co-starring role in a major motion picture with John Travolta. Matt’s roles include being featured on the TV show Turks, which was being shot in Chicago, (Matt’s home town) along with playing opposite Caroline Rae and Charles Schaughnessy in "Mom’s Got a Date With a Vampire" for the Disney Channel. Never wanting to do anything but comedy, Matt landed his first drama role guest starring on Fox Family’s "Fearing Minds". His first experience filming a major motion picture came when Bill Paxton gave him the opportunity to co-star in Bill’s directorial debut, "Frailty". This was a major step from comedy, which he so loves and seems to be very natural at, into drama. The transition went quite unnoticeably and Matt came out having learned a lot, including the infamous Bill Paxton’s "Yeah Baby" and "Take it easy". Matt also had to learn and talk with a Texas dialect with the help of his coach Vincent Chase.

The next major break for Matt was the opportunity to co-star with John Travolta, Vince Vaughn and Teri Polo in "Domestic Disturbance". With filming still in progress, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and he is having a great time. Along the way in this short career, the Disney Channel movie "Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire" earned Matt his Young Artist Awards nomination for Best Performance in a TV Movie (Comedy) as Leading Young Actor. Matt hasn’t had much opportunity in the past 9 months for leisure activity, but when he does, he enjoys soccer, football, rollerblading and boogie boarding and he can spend hours with the Playstation. Matt loves to dwell into what makes things work, so he built his own PC. With the help of his brother, they also installed all the software. Matt also enjoys the traveling he’s been doing, seeing this country, literally from coast to coast. His present location, in Wilmington NC is culturally, educationally and historically very impressive, not to mention the beachfront condo from where Matt watches the daily sunrise. Matt is looking forward to spending the summer off and just being a 14-year-old boy, getting together with his friends and spending time in Wisconsin with his father along with enjoying driving his new go cart. Acting is a passion for him, therefore he’s also looking forward to new ventures.
